Hack To Get Your Students To Pay Attention

If you are a teacher, you are all too familiar with the difficulties of getting your classroom to pay attention to you at all times. Even the most interesting subjects, topics and teachers will have difficulty keeping every student focused throughout the entire class day in and day out. Fortunately, there are many strategies that teachers used to encourage class participation and raise their interest level.

One of the best ways that a teacher can do this is to play games with their class. These games are designed to help the students learn while engaging them through activity. It is a great way to liven up your class and increase their interest in the subject material that you are teaching. Below, we will talk about how you can play a game called educational bingo.

Bingo is just as it sounds. You give each student a bingo board and allow them to fill out vocabulary words on each block. Once the students match a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line, the student will yell bingo and they will win a prize. Next is where the educational portion of this game comes into play.

Give the students a list of vocabulary words that they can choose from and place in the box at any order. You will then have specific questions that you can ask your classroom. The students will be in charge of checking the correct answer that matches the question that you asked. This is a great way to get them to try to figure out the answers themselves instead of waiting for someone else to do it for them. If a student yells bingo with an incorrect answer, they will not win the prize in the game will continue on. If the student has all the answers correct, they will win the prize and the game will start over.
